23rd May 2021 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: F7 gust F8 Surf / Sea State: Waves and chop Air Temperature: 9 Sea Temperature: 10.9 Weather: Overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: First run way overpowered on 4.7m as wind increased as I rigged; sand blowing down beach was a clue. Down to 4.2m which was much better, until after a couple of hours and a 10 minute lull during a rain shower the wind was mostly 30knots but with lulls of 20knots and gusts of 40knots. Waves were choppy and it was really a day for small board and 3.7m which I left at home. First turn slammed into water after catching chop on wave and second was a nice one. A coupe more didn't work too well in gusty wind, and not many were wave riding in challenging conditions. Despite all that enjoyed the morning and other felt the same, and wondered wtf it's 9C end of May. |
